    About MoneyTap

    What is MoneyTap?

    MoneyTapis Asia’s first app-based credit-line for consumers, offered in partnership with FE Credit.

    Customers can borrow any amount from this limit multiple times. Interest is charged only on the used limit, not on the total approved limit. The interest rate starts as low as 35% per annum. Customers can choose flexible repayment options on the app with installment tenure choice of 61 days to 36 months. The limit also gets automatically replenished as soon as the installments are paid back.

    How do I register an MoneyTap account?

    You can register here or download app. Please use your phone number to register. OTP code will be sent to your phone. Please fill this code to complete the registration.

    I'm not in need of loans now, should I create a MoneyTap account?

    You definitely should sign up for the MoneyTap Credit Line now!

    • 100% online and simple approval process.
    • Once getting approval, you can withdraw money from your Credit Line whenever you need it.
    • There will be no interest and fee if you don't use the credit limit.
    • With Credit Line, you will have an extra backup in case of an emergency, or satisfy your expenditure needs conveniently.

    What is the Approval in Principle? How can I get the Final Approval?

    An Approval in Principle means that your application is possibly eligible for a Credit Line by FE Credit.
    You are able to know in advance the amount of the Credit Line that you might be approved on the MoneyTap app.
    Once getting the Approval in Principle, you still need to complete next required steps which are instructed on the app to get the Final Approval.

    What is a Credit Line?

    A credit line is a limit that is approved once, and then can be used to disburse multiple times.

    • Once your Credit Line is activated, you can request multiple disbursements of any amount if the total value of them is within the credit limit (with a minimum value of VND 1 million).
    • Interest is calculated only on the amount of the disbursement, not on the entire amount of credit limit.
    • When you make the payment of a portion of the used credit limit, the available credit limit will increase accordingly and be ready for further use.
    • If you have a credit limit but you don't make any disbursements, interest and fees will not be charged.


    Application Process

    How's the process of applying for a Credit Line?

    You can register for Credit line by following these simple steps:

    1. Click here to register and get pre-approval

    • Create an account by phone number and then verify the OTP code.
    • Create your profile by answering several questions, such as: name, age, income, residential address, etc.

    2. Complete your application

    • Download Moneytap app on your phone.
    • Take a selfie by your phone.
    • Take pictures of the front and back of your National ID card.
    • Provide information about your permanent address, working address and references.
    • Verify your email address.

    3. Get Final approval

    • Verify the e-sign contract then get final approval.
    • The process is 100% online and simple.

    What are required documents?

    The National ID card is at least required to register a MoneyTap account.

    How much is the interest rate?

    After getting the final approval, you will be provided your interest rate, equal monthly installment and total payable interest corresponding to the disbursal amount and tenure once you request disbursement. You can consider these kinds of information before verifying your request.

    How much are the fees?

    Annual fee applies only for the first year : 210,000 VND

    Late payment fee : 3% of total card balance, minimum VND 100,000

    Early redemption fee : 4% of current outstanding balance

    Over limit fee (when Total outstanding balance> Credit limit) : 4% of total card balance, minimum VND 99,000

    Inspection fee (collected in case the customer makes a false complaint) : VND 100,000 / request

    Confirm the account as per request of the customer : VND 100,000 / request

    Transaction processing fee : VND 12,000 / statement period arises outstanding balance

    Cash transaction fee : 0.2% transaction value

    Message fee:

    • Customers who register email with FEC: 10,000 VND / month
    • Customers who have not registered email with FEC: 15,000 VND / month

    The payment: Total fees and interest rates incurred in the period + Principal payable monthly

    Is there any kind of insurance fee?

    Insurance fee of MoneyTap Credit Line is 0.


    Security

    What will happen with my information on the MoneyTap app?

    • All provided information on the MoneyTap app will be kept confidential under the MoneyTap privacy policy.
    • Your information will only be provided to our financial partner who is known as FE Credit for the purpose of credit assessment.

    Status Of Application

    How long does it take for the final approval?

    Once you complete all required steps on app, it will take around 1 - 2 working days to process your application.

    How can I edit the information of my profile?

    Before submitting your application to us (using the "Submit" button), you can edit the information by yourself. However, after submitting the application to us, your information can not be changed.

    Note: your registerred phone number can not be changed in any cases.

    What should I do if any app errors occur?

    In case there is any error message, please close the app and try again after a while. If it still doesn't work, please take a screenshot of the error screen and send it to our supporting email for further assistance.

    If you have a problem with the "waiting for a response" status, please close and restart the app. If the status is not changed, please contact us for further assistance.

    After completing all required steps on app, it will take around 1-2 working days to process the application. Please make sure that your phone is in contactable mode. If it's necessary, we might contact you via the registered phone number.

    Why was my application rejected?

    We are sorry that your application was rejected. The result of your application was based on many factors, one of the main reasons probably due to the current policies of our financial partner - FE Credit.

    Can I reapply my application? What do I have to do?

    You can reapply after at least 3 months from the date of disapproval. Please contact us for further assistance.

    Get Money And Repay

    How can I get money from my Credit Line?

    Step 1: Make a disbursement request

    Go back to the MoneyTap app and press the button "Get money" and perform the following actions:

    • Select the amount that you want to disburse
    • Select tenure
    • Select disbursement channel

    Then verify the transaction.

    Step 2: Receive a security code sent to registered phone number

    Step 3: Collect money from the selected disbursement channel

    • Carry your security code and valid National ID card (clear number and clear information) to the selected disbursement spot to collect your money.

    Note:

    • Disbursement spot needs 2 hours (from the time you receive security code) to process your money request.
    • Withdrawal period is 15 days from the date you receive security code.

    When can I withdraw money at the earliest?

    Once your Credit Line get approved by FE Credit, you can request to withdraw money on MoneyTap app instantly. By choosing amount and tenure that you want, you will receive a security code. Please carry this security code and your National ID card to the nearest disbursement spot to receive money.

    Where can I collect requested money?

    You are able to collect money directly at disbursement channels.

    When making a disbursement request, you are able to choose one of the following disbursement channels:

    1. Via Post channel (VNPOST)

    After executing the disbursement request, you will receive a 14-digit security code sent by our partner - FE Credit. After 2 hours of receiving the code, you need to go to the nearest post office and carry along the security code and your valid National ID card (clear number and clear information) to collect money.Period to collect money is within 15 days from the date you receive the security code. After this period, the transaction will be cancelled and the amount will be automatically replenished to your credit limit.
    Working hours: 8am to 4pm.

    2. Via transaction channels at counters of the Bank

    You can go to the counters of any branches of Sacombank, BIDV, VPBank, The Gioi Di Dong, Dien May Xanh, Viettel phone store. After executing the disbursement request, you will receive a 14-digit security code sent by our partner - FE Credit. You can receive the money as soon as you receive the code. You need to carry your security code and a valid National ID card (clear number and clear information) and provide them to the Teller for customer and withdrawal amount verification. After successful verification, the OTP will be sent to your registered phone number. Then you provide the OTP code to the Teller to verify the transaction. Period to collect money is within 15 days from the date you receive the security code. After this period, the transaction will be cancelled and the amount will be automatically replenished to your credit limit.

    Note: If the query of the OTP code is more than three times in a day without entering the OTP or entering the OTP fails, the transaction will be blocked for 24 hours.

    What should I do in case my money request is cancelled or interrupted?

    Firstly, please try to request the disbursement one more time. If you still face problems, please contact us for further assistance.

    What should I do in case the current status of the transaction is "In progress" ?

    Security code has been already sent to your registered phone number, you can go to the selected withdrawal location to collect money.

    What should I do in case the current status of thetransaction is "Failed"?

    Your transaction was failed might be due to one of the following reasons:

    • Your security code has expired. Within 15 days since receiving the security code you did not go to the selected location to collect money.
    • Your monthly installment payment is overdue.

    What should I do in case the current status of transaction is "Sucessful"?

    You have successfully collected money.

    How can I make the monthly payment?

    Option 1: Bank transfer.

    Option 2: At Bank counters.

    Option 3: At The Gioi Di Dong, Dien May Xanh, Viettel phone stores or VN POST.

    Option 4: Via e-wallet such as Momo, VN Pay.

    Note:

    • Contract number/ account number is the Credit Line account number shown on the MoneyTap app.
    • To avoid unexpected charges, MoneyTap encourages you to pay your monthly installment at least 2 working days in advance of the due date.

    What is the account number of the Credit Line?

    Once you receive the Final Approval, MoneyTap will provide to you a Credit Line account number which is displayed on the app. This account number is used to verify your loan at our Financial Partner - FE Credit. When making installment payments, please provide this account number at the payment channels of FE Credit. Then, the system will know exactly which loan you are paying for.

    How can I identify the monthly due date and due amount?

    Meanwhile making the withdrawal request on MoneyTap app, we will show the estimated monthly due date and due amount (excluding fees). After that, you are able to check the due date and due amount by 2 ways:

    • After 15 days from the date you receive money, our financial partner-FE Credit will send a statement (also known as payment schedule) to your phone number and email that you registered with MoneyTap.
    • You can check your monthly due date and due amount at "Transaction details" on MoneyTap app.

    Due date is around 15 days from the date you receive the statement. You can pay any time before the due date.

    To avoid unexpected charges, MoneyTap encourages you to pay your monthly installment at least 2 working days in advance of the due date.

    Note: If you pay lately, you will be charged a late payment penalty. Fee is charged in the next statement.
